The Octonauts. The Frown Fish.
The Octonauts are a group of animals, who are friends and have a lot of underwater adventures and that is what the book is about. They travel through the seas and oceans discovering various environments and new creatures and plants, thanks to special inventions like submarines, ships, radars, special suits and many other gadgets. The stories often touch on difficult topics like leaks from a pipe on the sea bottom or dead coral reefs and explain them in a simple way. The Octonauts are always up to the challenge and each mission is a success.
Each Octonaut has got a special skill. For example Peso the penguin is a medic and he saves sick animals with great passion. Shellington is a scientist, Twig the bunny is an engineer and she builds all the needed engines like great submarines.
The world of underwater creatures, with their complexities are explained and it is great because these stories are known to children from the cartoons on the channel MiniMini+ .. Unfortunately there is no polish version of the book, which is a shame.
The Frown Fish is a story about a very sad Upside-down Catfish. That is why the Octonauts try to make her smile and be happy. In spite of a lot of ideas and effort, the fish is still sad. What to do?
Finally the fish falls from the merry go round and rolls and rolls and to their surprise, it turns out that the fish was upside- down and just looked unhappy. Kids learn that this is normal for this kind of fish, it is easier for it to get food. Did you know that because this mom did not? And that is why the Octonauts are so fantastic.
The book is full of colorful pictures and ideas.
Some are vertical, some horizontal and sometimes you have to unfold them into 2 pages. All of the characters are presented at the end of each book: Capitan Barnacles, Kwazii kitten, Peso penguin, dr. Shallington, Bunny buny, Dashi dog, professor Inkling and Tunip who is one of the vegimals who first appear in a different story.
