Things to Remember

Things to Remember is a warm and smart story about the Owl. Her hollow breaks in the seams of all things. what things? She doesn’t know because there is so much. Animals in the wood are untied and wired. Nobody visits her, as if like, the whole hollow drowned in the things, everything hangs and hangs on.

Than suddenly the squirrel appears on the tree. She comes with big band and puses the owl out of the tree with all her staff.”What a mess” – the squirrel shouts, “there is more inside” – owl reply with honest.

The squirrel can’t believe in what she see an hear. She want to know, what are all of these things. The Owl is telling with big engagement that there is her collection of treasures, connected with her memories. The squirrel ask more precisely and ech things has got the past / history indeed. “Yes I collect memories” – the owl declares and she also admits that all that staff and mess around makes that she has no space for friends. “So keep your memories, and get rid of the mess” – advises squirrel. The Owl is no convinced but at the end she agreed. The cleaning is being started. Than the Story Museum idea becomes. The rumor about owls house cleaning is circling in the wood. Everybody are cerouse what is going on, and then everybody are invited  “to the Treee of Stories“. Crowd of forest animals become on the meeting. The Owl feels truely happy, that she can share their memories and adventures, and the squirrel serves the tea. The Owl wish about friendship become the truth. Now, she can collect Friends.

Things to Remember is a book in English, but wrote in very simple way. The content is easy and the picture are perfect matched. The characters and emotions of all heros are visible on each single page. Things to Remember is a great opportunity to practice languege.

Most of all this story was a reason to talk with my soon, about what is important in our life. We are surrounded by fast and easy accessible things and new thing again and again in each area. It is easy to lose what is significant: friendship, family ties, talks, common time, honesty, kindness, care. That is even more difficult for kids, in the world full of new, exiting toys and superheroes. The Owl story gave me an impulse to move on this subject. We know that the truth is – that we are the most important, our family and the rest, the things is meaningless.

wish good lecture and inspiration to talk about what is important.
